Instructions

Gameplay is turn-based. The first player selects the United Colonies faction and the second player selects the Freestar Collective faction. The player with the UC faction always moves first. On each turn, a player selects a column on the 7x6 grid. The token drops to the lowest available empty row within that column. A token cannot be placed in a column that is already full. The game ends immediately when a player achieves four tokens in a row, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. If the entire grid is filled without any player achieving four in a row, the game ends in a draw. Controls are limited to directional input and a confirm action. On a controller, the left analog stick or D-pad moves a highlighted cursor across the top of the columns. Pressing the A button drops the token into the selected column. On a keyboard, the left and right arrow keys move the cursor, and the Enter key or Spacebar drops the token. The game provides no undo or redo functions. After a game concludes, a prompt appears offering the options to play again with the same settings, change the AI difficulty, or return to the main menu. The AI opponent evaluates potential moves based on a minimax algorithm with a depth limit of four moves, prioritizing blocking the human player’s three-in-a-row threats while building its own.
