Acceleration and braking are mapped to the right trigger and left trigger, respectively. The handbrake, used for sharp turns, is assigned to the A button on controllers or the spacebar on keyboards. Combat is integrated into the racing mechanics. The player can fire mounted weapons, such as machine guns and rocket launchers, using the right bumper or the mouse left button. A secondary weapon, typically a deployable mine or oil slick, is activated with the left bumper or the mouse right button. Health can be restored by driving over repair kits scattered on the track.
