Instructions
The player controls the character using a standard keyboard or controller. The character moves left and right using the A and D keys or the left analog stick. Jumping is performed with the spacebar or the A button. The core mechanic is the rope. Pressing and holding the left mouse button or the right trigger fires a grappling hook from the character's position. The hook attaches to any designated anchor point, which are visually distinct, glowing nodes on surfaces. While attached, the player can swing by moving left or right. Releasing the button detaches the rope. The rope has a finite length, indicated by a meter on the screen. The player can shorten the rope by pressing the W key or up on the D-pad, and lengthen it by pressing the S key or down. This allows for precise control of swing arcs and pendulum momentum. To climb the rope itself, the player must press the jump button while facing the rope; the character will then begin to ascend hand-over-hand. While climbing, the player can jump off the rope at any point. The rope can also be used to create a static line by anchoring both ends to two separate nodes, forming a horizontal or diagonal bridge. This is achieved by pressing the E key or the X button while the rope is attached to one node, which locks the other end to the character's current position. The player can then walk across this line. The camera is fixed in a side-scrolling perspective, automatically panning upward as the player progresses. A small compass in the top-right corner indicates the direction of the nearest anchor point.
