The game provides a pause function activated by the spacebar, which halts all slime movement and allows for uninterrupted grid modification. The escape key opens a settings menu where the player can adjust sound volume and toggle grid snap assistance. No keyboard shortcuts exist for object placement; all construction is performed via mouse clicks.
