Instructions

Gameplay follows the standard rules of Reversi. The board is an 8x8 grid. Two players take turns placing discs: one player uses a neon blue disc, the other uses a neon pink disc. The objective is to have the majority of discs of one's own color on the board when no legal moves remain. A legal move requires placing a disc adjacent to an opponent's disc such that the new disc and an existing disc of the same color bracket one or more opponent discs in a straight line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal). All bracketed opponent discs are then flipped to the player's color. If a player has no legal moves, the turn passes to the opponent. The game ends when the board is full or neither player can move. Controls are executed via mouse or touch input. On a computer, the player clicks on an empty square to place a disc. On a touchscreen device, the player taps the desired square. The interface highlights all legal moves for the current player with a subtle glow. A turn indicator at the top of the screen displays whose turn it is and the current disc count for each player. The game provides an undo function for the last move in single-player mode only. A pause menu allows the player to restart the match, adjust sound volume, or return to the main menu. No keyboard shortcuts are available.
