Instructions
Gameplay and controls are centered on resource management and environmental interaction. The player character is controlled using standard first-person movement inputs: the left analog stick or W, A, S, D keys for movement, and the right analog stick or mouse for camera rotation. The player can sprint using the left shift key or L3 button, which drains a stamina gauge displayed at the bottom of the screen. Oxygen is tracked via a gauge on the left side; the player must periodically surface or find air pockets within flooded areas to replenish it. A handheld sonar device is activated by pressing the right mouse button or R2 trigger, emitting a pulse that reveals nearby structures and Drifter locations for a limited duration. The player’s primary light source is a headlamp, toggled with the F key or triangle button, which consumes battery power. Batteries are scavenged from the environment. Interaction with objects—such as opening doors, turning valves, or picking up items—is performed by pressing the E key or X button when a prompt appears. The inventory is accessed via the Tab key or touchpad, allowing the player to combine items, read documents, and equip tools. There is no combat system; the player must avoid Drifters by hiding in lockers, behind debris, or by using the sonar to navigate around them. A "panic meter" increases when the player is in direct proximity to a Drifter; if it fills, the screen fades to black and the player respawns at the last safe checkpoint. The game saves automatically at designated buoy markers.
