Instructions

Gameplay in ChromaPath is based on spatial manipulation and light refraction. The player controls the Traveler from a third-person perspective using a standard gamepad or keyboard. The left analog stick or W, A, S, D keys move the character. The right analog stick or mouse controls the camera. The primary interaction is performed with the A button or spacebar, which activates a device called the Prism. The Prism can absorb ambient light from designated sources and project it onto gray surfaces to reveal hidden pathways, platforms, or mechanisms. Holding the right trigger or left mouse button charges the Prism to emit a concentrated beam that can rotate objects or unlock color-locked doors. The player must also collect Chroma Shards, small crystalline fragments found in each zone, to unlock new Prism abilities. These abilities include the ability to split a single beam into multiple colors, temporarily slow the fading of color from a surface, and invert the color of an object to change its physical properties. The interface displays a color wheel in the upper-left corner, indicating the current active color and its associated ability. A health bar is absent; the only failure state is falling into the void or being crushed by moving geometry, which resets the player to the last activated Chroma Node. The game saves automatically at each node.
