Instructions

Gameplay in BoxBash is centered on momentum and collision. Each player controls a box character using a standard analog stick or directional keys for movement. A single action button initiates a short-range, forward-facing shove that can push other boxes. The shove has a fixed cooldown of 0.8 seconds. Holding the action button charges a heavier slam attack, which, upon release, causes the player’s box to briefly become immobile and emit a shockwave that pushes all nearby boxes away. The slam attack has a 2-second charge time and a 1.5-second cooldown. Players can also perform a dash by double-tapping a movement direction, which grants a brief speed boost and can be used to ram opponents. The dash has a 3-second cooldown. The arena’s breakable panels can be destroyed by repeated impacts from player collisions or slam shockwaves. Falling through a broken panel or being pushed beyond the arena’s outer edge results in elimination. The last player or team remaining wins the round. Matches are played in a best-of-five format. The game provides no tutorial mode; all controls are listed in a static menu screen. No in-game voice or text chat is available.
