Instructions

Gameplay and controls are structured around a turn-based system. The game begins with the first player placing a mark (X) in any cell of any of the nine small boards. This move dictates the next board for the opponent: the opponent must play in the small board that corresponds to the position of the mark just placed. For example, if a player places an X in the top-left cell of a small board, the opponent must play in the top-left small board of the overall grid. If the designated small board is already fully occupied or has been won, the opponent may play in any available small board. A small board is won when a player completes a line of three marks within it. Once a small board is won, it is marked with the winner’s symbol and becomes a single cell in the larger meta-board. The game ends when a player wins three small boards in a row, column, or diagonal on the meta-board, or when all small boards are filled without a meta-board winner, resulting in a draw. Controls are executed via mouse click on PC or touch input on mobile devices. Players select a cell by tapping or clicking on it. The interface displays the current player’s turn and highlights the designated board for the next move. Undo and redo functions are available in local multiplayer mode. No keyboard shortcuts are required; all interactions are point-and-click or tap-based.
